Quartzite / Dolomite

Quartzite (also known as Dolomite) has been transformed from sandstone by heat, pressure, and compression deep within the earth’s crust, resulting in low porosity. It has a flowing, veined look similar to marble. A metamorphic rock, quartzite/dolomite is typically at least as hard as granite, heat-resistant, and difficult to scratch. This durable, strong material makes for a beautiful yet highly functional countertop.
